Alfredo Sauce

Who doesn’t love a good Alfredo Sauce? I know every time I go to Olive Garden, I am ordering the chicken Fettuccini Alfredo. It is the very best. BUT sometimes going out to dinner is not in the budget. Sometimes, the only Olive Garden in driving distance is ALWAYS packed and you don’t want to wait forever to eat there. Enter the homemade version. Yes, you do have to cook to eat it, but you’re saving dough while you’re at it too!

I love this Alfredo sauce recipe for many reasons. It is FAST. 10 minutes start to finish. Heck, it’s even faster than the spaghetti sauce I usually make! Secondly, no weird ingredients. You don’t need to buy heavy whipping cream or half and half that you will not be using the rest of. Lastly, you don’t need to freshly grate parmesan cheese. I always use the pre-grated stuff in the bag- and it’s JUST FINE. Make your life easier, there are a lot of things that won’t in this world. Now, onto these super easy directions!

Detailed instructions:

Step 1:

In a medium saucepan over medium-low heat, melt butter then add milk and mix until combined.

Step 2:

Add the cornstarch and mix thoroughly until no more lumps remain. Now simmer for 3 minutes. This was MUCH easier than I thought it would be the first time

Step 3:

Add the garlic and simmer 1 more minute (SOOOO easy isn’t it!)

Step 4:

Add the cheese and blend until well incorporated and cheese is melted. Serve immediately and listen to your family say “Yummmm!”

May I suggest making this yummy bread to go along with your meal as well- I made it the same night too! #carbloading

From my days with Macy’s, I fell in love with Analon cookware. I especially love the coloring of these pans! Not to mention the pour spout makes things just that much easier!

Wooden spoons are a must have for any kitchen. I use these as equally as I use my silicone utensils.

Do you have the Garlic Zoom yet? Cuz I think this is like the 3rd time I’ve linked this. It is amazing and I cannot say enough great things about this silly little tool. Best $13 I have ever spent!
